The Cashier is responsible for managing all customer transactions efficiently and accurately at the retail home store. This role involves operating the POS system, handling payments, and ensuring a smooth checkout experience for customers. The cashier also plays a key role in providing basic customer service, coordinating with the sales team, and supporting daily store operations while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process cash, card, and other forms of payments using the POS system.
  • Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges according to store policy.
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions during the shift.
  • Count cash at the beginning and end of the shift.
  • Balance the cash register and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Ensure safe handling of all financial transactions.
  • Greet and assist customers in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Respond to customer inquiries related to pricing, billing, or product availability.
  • Ensure a pleasant checkout experience for every customer.
  • Work closely with sales staff for product confirmations or price verifications.
  • Coordinate with the delivery or accounts team if needed for billing follow-ups.
  • Ensure all transactions are entered accurately in the POS system.
  • Keep the cashier area clean, organized, and well-stocked with required materials (bags, receipt rolls, etc.).
  • Follow company policies regarding discounts, promotions, returns, and data privacy.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle all customer data securely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and engage customers in the store, understand their requirements, and provide design consultations
  • Responsible for rendering, layout designing, modelling and presentation of interiors and other areas, as per the client's requirements, using AutoCAD, 3d Max, KD Max, Photoshop and other applications.
  • Responsible for carrying out all designs (new or refurbishments) installations at various company locations.
  • Present design concepts, material selections, color schemes, and furniture layouts to clients for approval
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat/referral business.

Job Skills
